Where to start?

I think I’d like to start off by welcoming everyone and saying hello. So, hello everyone and welcome to my blog! I’ll be completely honest with you… I have no idea what I’m doing, so you’ll have to bear with me a little bit. That being said, I’d like to talk a little bit about myself and what I plan to do here. Let’s dive right in!

My name is Lucas and I am a junior at an Ohio college. I am studying to become a wildlife biologist and am hoping to create a career around working with our world’s fauna. I’m a dog-lover, amateur photographer, and avid reader. I love the outdoors and exploring new places.

To be honest, my plans for this blog have changed in the four minutes I’ve been writing this post. Overall, my main goal is to share photos and information on the wildlife that I am fortunate enough to come into contact with. This could include birds, plants, turtles, squirrels, stray cats, and all other manners of creatures. I want to share the beauty of the world we live in with while providing fun and interesting facts, and I think that this is a great place to achieve that goal. On top of that, I would like to share my experiences in the outdoors with you all. During this upcoming summer I’ll be hiking, camping and rock climbing, so look out for posts on these activities as well.

As I said before, I am completely new to blogging, but am extremely excited to move forward and hone my craft. I’m expecting my aspirations for this blog to evolve over time. It will take me a while to finally settle into a rhythm, but until then I hope you’ll enjoy learning about the wildlife that could be sitting right outside your backdoor.
